I was just having a discussion with someone about contemporary artists making music to sound like old funk or soul music. We couldn’t agree more on how so many new artists try to replicate an old sound only to come off sounding like a rip-off.

I like my soul dusty, dirty, weathered, full of character and experience…just like Lee Fields & The Expressions.
